The Appeals Commission respectfully acknowledges that what we call Alberta is the traditional and ancestral territory of many Indigenous Peoples, presently subject to Treaty 4, Treaty 6, Treaty 7, Treaty 8 and Treaty 10.
We acknowledge all the Indigenous Peoples who have lived in and cared for these lands for generations. First Nations and Métis continue to live on these lands shaping this province. We make this acknowledgement as an act of reconciliation and gratitude to those whose traditional and ancestral home we share.
